From November 24, 2023 to January 01, 2024, there will be a wine and Christmas market on the Moselle in Traben Trabach.
This so far only underground Christmas market around the themes of wine, pleasure and culture invites not only to a cozy stay and Christmas enjoyment underground. The varied supporting program with cultural, traditional and musical highlights and the events around the skating rink also puts guests outside the Traben-Trarbach underground in the Christmas spirit. So you are guaranteed to have a good time, even if the weather doesn't cooperate sometimes.

Personal leisure recommendations
The Moselle River is only a few steps away. Numerous hiking trails, such as the
Jakobspfad, the Moselsteig and several dream trails lead you directly through
vineyards, forests and romantic valleys. The nearby Eltz Castle can even be reached on foot. Also from the ship, you have a wonderful view of the Mosel valley.
Boat trip across the Moselle
Discover the Moselle landscape comfortably and without haste from the water.
Trip to Beilstein
Framed by two streams, lies the wildly romantic town of Beilstein. The small village is often called the most beautiful and romantic Moselle town. The old town - once enclosed by the town wall built from 1310 - still gives us a glimpse of a medieval town through numerous historic buildings. Poverty among the farmers and winegrowers until well into the 20th century hardly allowed any thought of structural changes in the town. Therefore, the medieval townscape remained almost untouched, which today leads to the unmistakable charm of Beilstein, which hardly any of our guests can escape.
Excursion to Bernkastel Kues
Bernkastel-Kues has probably the most impressive half-timbered ensemble in the entire region. The town center consists almost entirely of historic buildings. If it weren't for the many people, you would think you were in Grimm's fairy tale. Narrow and winding like a labyrinth, small streets and squares crisscross the historic old town. Renaissance and Art Nouveau meet Gothic and Baroque. Together with the ruins of Landshut Castle on the hill, the maze of half-timbered houses gives Bernkastel-Kues its unmistakable face.
Directly on the banks of the Moselle is a large parking lot, for which a fee is charged. From there, the old town with its sights can be easily explored on foot.

Die Reichsburg ist Cochems allergrößter Schatz. Wenn man die Burg besichtigen möchte, geht man entweder etwa 30 Minuten zu Fuß ab Bahnhof Cochem oder in 6 Minuten mit dem Reichsburg Shuttlebus 781 vom Busbahnhof Endertplatz.

Hiking on the Moselle and in the Eifel
The Moselle is often referred to as the "Riesling canyon". And rightly so. After all, the partly narrow, heavily incised river valley with its striking rocks, green side valleys and fantastic views is by definition just that - a real canyon! And what's more, in the summer and fall months, when the vines hang full of leaves and grapes, it's our favorite hiking area right on our doorstep.

The Rhine-Moselle-Eifel region seduces you to go hiking. A network of dream trails crisscrosses the region and invites you to discover the magnificent landscape with its rich natural monuments and cultural beauties. 27 circular hiking trails in day-trip format lead through dense forest and volcanic landscape, over high plateaus and steep vineyard slopes, past medieval castles and fortresses and present spectacular views of the Rhine and Moselle valleys.

Our premium walking trails - "Traumpfädchen im Rhein-Mosel-Eifel-Land" (dream trails in the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel countryside) are the ideal complement to a varied day in the Mayen-Koblenz vacation region. You are between 3 and 7 kilometers maximum two hours on the road. Thus, you have enough time to get to know another highlight of the region. Or you combine the Traumpfädchen tour with a visit to one of our inviting gastronomic establishments.

The last part of this hike leads along the Buchsbaum-Wanderweg (boxwood hiking trail), which gives it its name. Bademöglichkeiten und Wassersport
Im Sommer suchen wir natürlich nach einer frischen Abkühlung. An der Mosel bieten sich viele erfrischende Möglichkeiten an sonnigen Tagen. Aber auch im Winter kann man sich in den Thermen der Gegend zurückziehen.
Moselstrände
Natürlich könnt ihr euch auch wunderbar in der erfrischenden Mosel abkühlen, was auch gestattet ist. Die Wasserqualität ist hervorragend (aber bitte nicht zum Trinken verwenden). Dennoch ist es wichtig, sich bewusst zu sein, dass der Fluss auch von Fährverkehr frequentiert wird, daher empfehlen wir, besonders vorsichtig zu sein und in Ufernähe zu bleiben. Wenn ihr ein SUP-Board, ein Kanu oder ein Schlauchboot dabei habt, könnt ihr euren Tag auf der Mosel noch mehr genießen!

REICHSBURG COCHEM
The Reichsburg Cochem is a castle complex in the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Cochem on the Moselle River. It is its landmark and stands on a mountain cone visible from afar at 154 m above sea level above the town. As a summit castle, it belongs to the type of hilltop castles.

For racing bike enthusiasts, the Radarena am Ring has compiled over 1,500 kilometers in the "Rennrad-Arena", mapped and also prepared as roadbooks and GPS tracks.
Mountain biking in the Eifel
In one of the most diverse MTB regions in Germany, mountain bikers will find varied trails and wonderful views of the Eifel.
Here, scenic enjoyment and sporting challenge merge with each other. Through pristine nature, past volcanoes, through rocky passages, over flowing trails and to idyllic (swimming) lakes. The stop at an Eifel inn at the end of the tour is of course also part of it.
Pure mountain bike experience in the land of maars and volcanoes - in the Trailpark Vulkaneifel (approx. 750 km of signposted trails with over 17,500 meters of altitude), as well as around the legendary Nürburgring - in the Radarena am Ring!
