THE MOSEL
Here, you can expect ancient world cultural heritage, impressive castles, exquisite cuisine, historic wine towns and cities, Moselle cycle paths, and of course, a beautiful hiking region for relaxed walks or climbing tours on the Calmontsteig, the steepest vineyard in Europe.

Koblenz – Where Rivers Meet
Koblenz is a vibrant excursion destination at the meeting point of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
The city combines 2,000 years of history with a charming old town, wide promenades, and famous sights such as the Deutsches Eck, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, and the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which today forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visitors appreciate the mixture of romantic squares, culture, cafés, wine taverns, and a wide range of leisure activities — from river cruises to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Rhine Valley.

Trip to Beilstein
Framed by two streams, lies the wildly romantic town of Beilstein. The small village is often called the most beautiful and romantic Moselle town. The old town - once enclosed by the town wall built from 1310 - still gives us a glimpse of a medieval town through numerous historic buildings. Poverty among the farmers and winegrowers until well into the 20th century hardly allowed any thought of structural changes in the town. Therefore, the medieval townscape remained almost untouched, which today leads to the unmistakable charm of Beilstein, which hardly any of our guests can escape.
Schaut gerne einmal vorbei.

Trip to Bernkastel-Kues
Bernkastel-Kues feels like a living fairy tale: almost the entire old town centre consists of tightly packed half-timbered houses from different eras — Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau blend together into a labyrinth of alleys and squares.
High above the town rises the ruin of Burg Landshut, completing the unmistakable panorama.
A large paid parking area along the Moselle riverbank serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the town on foot.
Manderscheid Upper and Lower Castles
Manderscheid in the Volcanic Eifel delights visitors with a “double pack” of castles. The Upper and Lower Castles stand opposite each other above the wild Lieser Gorge — together with a surprisingly alpine extra: the Manderscheid Castle via ferrata.
The secured climbing route (category B/C) leads over ladders, steel cables, and rock ledges directly through the gorge and offers spectacular close-up views of both ruins.
Combined with the panoramic circular trail between the castles and hikes to nearby maars (e.g. Meerfelder Maar), Manderscheid easily makes for an active day trip full of nature and castle romance.

Cochem – Pearl of the Moselle
Cochem, the “Pearl of the Moselle,” is famous for the towering Reichsburg Cochem overlooking a charming old town filled with half-timbered houses and vine-covered facades.
The market square, the baroque town hall, and the maze of narrow alleys can easily be explored on foot before the chairlift to the Pinnerkreuz rewards visitors with panoramic views over the river bend and vineyards.
Moselle boat cruises, cycling paths, and an excursion to the nearby Calmont Via Ferrata complete the perfect day trip.
Experience World at the Nürburgring
The Nürburgring in the Eifel is far more than just a race track. In addition to the legendary Nordschleife (“Green Hell”) and the Grand Prix circuit, there are numerous activities for visitors:

Erbeskopf – The Highest Point in Rhineland-Palatinate
Erbeskopf is the highest point in Rhineland-Palatinate and a true outdoor paradise.
At the Trailpark Erbeskopf, mountain bikers can test their skills on various trails, while the HighLive climbing park awaits adventure seekers with exciting courses and a thrilling zipline.
The treetop walkway and the Skytower offer spectacular views over the surrounding landscape, while the summer toboggan run and Fly-Line provide fast-paced fun.
In winter, the Erbeskopf transforms into a popular destination for cross-country and downhill skiing.
Throughout the entire year, the region invites visitors of all ages and adventure levels to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities.
