THE MOSEL

Here, you can expect ancient world cultural heritage, impressive castles, exquisite cuisine, historic wine towns and cities, Moselle cycle paths, and of course, a beautiful hiking region for relaxed walks or climbing tours on the Calmontsteig, the steepest vineyard in Europe.

The Moselle Trail

The Moselsteig is a long-distance hiking trail that runs 365 km from Perl to Koblenz.

It is divided into 24 stages, which can also be completed individually as half-day hikes.

Near the Olive Tree holiday home, stages 14 and 15 of the Moselle Trail are located. These two hiking routes can also be combined into a circular trail.

The Moselle Camino

In principle, it would be possible to follow this path all the way to Santiago de Compostela.

The Moselle Camino is part of the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago) and is about 160 kilometers long.

The pilgrimage route leads from Koblenz-Stolzenfels to the Benedictine Abbey of St. Matthias Abbey Trier.

It offers pilgrims and hikers a varied route through the picturesque Moselle Valley, passing historic towns, impressive castles, and idyllic vineyards.

Along its course, the Moselle Camino shares certain sections of its route with the Moselle Trail.
