From late April to mid-May, Winningen transforms into a festival of colors and delights as the vineyards are in full bloom. Visitors can learn more about winemaking on guided walks through the rows of vines, taste the first wines of the year directly from the winemakers, and enjoy regional specialties. Wochenende nach Pfingsten
Mythos Mosel ist ein exklusives Riesling-Festival, das jährlich am Wochenende nach Pfingsten an wechselnden Orten der Mittelmosel stattfindet. Über 120 Weingüter öffnen ihre Türen für Besucher, die die aktuellen Jahrgänge verkosten können. Shuttlebusse verbinden die teilnehmenden Weingüter, und zahlreiche Veranstaltungen wie After-Taste-Partys und Winzermenüs ergänzen das Programm.

Mosel Music Festival

The Mosel Music Festival is the largest and oldest classical music festival in Rhineland-Palatinate. Castles, churches, monasteries, and wineries along the Moselle transform into extraordinary concert venues. The program ranges from classical chamber music and major orchestral works to jazz, world music, and exciting crossover projects. International stars such as violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter have performed here, as well as young talents celebrating their first major appearances on the Moselle. In this way, music, culture, and wine blend into an experience found only along the Moselle.

“Rhine in Flames” transforms the Deutsches Eck and the mouth of the Moselle into a spectacular sea of lights. With a parade of illuminated ships and an impressive fireworks display, visitors can experience the Moselle and Rhine landscapes in a truly unique way — a magical festival of light, music, and water that showcases the region once a year.

Cochem Homeland and Wine Festival

The Homeland and Wine Festival in Cochem is a lively folk and wine festival, ranking among the largest and most beautiful along the Moselle. It takes place on the market square and along the Moselle promenade, where numerous wine stalls offer exquisite Riesling wines and sparkling Riesling sects. Two stages provide top-class entertainment with brass bands and show bands. The highlight is the grand parade on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., followed by a spectacular brilliant fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.

Middle Moselle Wine Festival

The Middle Moselle Wine Festival is one of Germany’s largest and most traditional wine events. For several days, the historic old town of Bernkastel-Kues transforms into a festive wine mile: visitors can sample exquisite Moselle wines directly from the local winemakers, enjoy regional specialties, and experience live music. Highlights include the colorful parade and the ceremonial coronation of the Mosella, the Wine Queen of the Middle Moselle. A joyful celebration that uniquely combines wine, culture, and the incomparable Moselle atmosphere.

In the picturesque old town with its half-timbered houses, around 40 festively decorated stalls transform the narrow streets into a winter fairy tale. Alongside mulled wine, regional specialties, and handicrafts, a charming program of events awaits visitors — including concerts, a nativity scene exhibition, and the famous St. Nicholas boat procession on the Moselle, where St. Nicholas arrives by boat to hand out gifts. The historic setting makes this market one of the most romantic Advent experiences on the Moselle.
